I work where computing meets research: data analysis, AI, cybersecurity, IoT and teaching.
I’m Nambobi Mutwalibi, an ICT professional, researcher and former lecturer based in Kampala, Uganda. I hold an MSc.TE (2026) and a BSc.TE (2017, First Class Honours) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology, and I’m studying for an MSc in Cyber Security at Daffodil International University.
Since 2018 I have worked as University ICT Staff at the Islamic University in Uganda. From 2018 to 2023 I also lectured at the Labour College of East Africa, where I was Acting Head of Science and Technology and taught C Programming, Networking, Systems Analysis and Design, Computer Systems, Real-Life Projects, Website Development, E-commerce, and Pre-departure Orientation for migrant workers.
My research covers Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), FAIR data, machine learning and human-centred AI, cybersecurity, IoT and cloud computing. From 2020 to 2023 I was a data expert with VODAN Africa and Kampala International University, deploying FAIR Data Points in hospitals across Uganda, and I am a certified FAIR Data Steward (Level 3). I have published journal articles, book chapters, conference papers and a book, Adopting ICT and Green Skills in Teaching and Learning. Together, my publications have been cited more than 160 times on Google Scholar.
Today I work with researchers on their analysis and teach the methods behind it, and I build websites for organisations and businesses.
